Honestly, you could do a DIY rear turbo kit for pretty cheap. Just find a used turbo of what ever size you want to push.. a strong oil sending unit, oil lines, and have an exhaust shop Y your exhaust together for the hot inlet, a small cone filter with a shiled under it for the air inlet, and have the exhaust shop fab up some piping to reach your intake. The actual setup itself can be done for 1000 bucks with the oil lines and exhaust shop piping.. Then you have to buy all the fuel management stuff (injectors, pump, etc), and get it tuned.. could also do an intercooler..
I rarely see people do those on mustangs, but on other cars they are pretty common. You can even buy e-bay piping kits that are strictly clamp-on and have multiple odd shaped/bent parts for pretty cheap and do all the piping yourself if you wanted to go that way...
If you were going to do it on a big budget it would be something to think about..and its highly upgradeable.. throw a bigger turbo on, or a tighter spring in the waste gate to create more boost.. Used superchargers are hard to find cheap, and if you do, most likely you will need everything that goes with it (fuel, oiling lines, etc)
