I guess I am a little confused, whats so hard about filling the trans, so far as how much to put in?

There should be a level hole in the side of the transmission case. Remove the bolt, and fill the transmission up until it starts to come out... then its full.

There is a fill hole on the passenger's side, however if you fill it to the bottom of the hole you will be way overfilled. The original factory spec was 1/2" below the hole which is a bit less that 4 qts, the current recommendation is 3.2 qts which is well below the filler hole. The lesser quantity of oil reduceshydraulic dampening of the sihft rod's, detent's, shift fork's, etc, motion, and results in smoother shifting. Try it, you'll like it, the difference on my MGW shifted '03 was very noticable...

It`s not as easy as it seems. You can`t just fill the trans. You need a pump to get it in unless you pull the shifter. That is the best/easiest way to do it.
