Yeah me too, until I bought a lowboy jack! For lowered cars cost me $179. I love it! Called Speedjack Also the new Vettes are only 3-1/2" at their lowest point!

Do your own oil changes from now on.
+1

As for your car being to low... it really doesent look it... do you have low hanging headers? I have a buddy with a lift... My car is lowered with Eibach pro springs... looks to be about as low as yours... but with out the lip... the lip would probably rub a bit... that is probably where your problem lies! Any shop that wouldnt jack up your car and do it the old fashioned way is not worth your time! I used to work at a custom shop... as well as Discount Tire... if need be we used old fashioned jacks... or as far as the custom shop went wood on the ramps to extend the angle to make it less sharp. ALWAYS watch closely when taking your car somewhere... I took my firends truck to Discount once before a trip to Cali to get his Body mods smoothed out a bit. His truck is a GMC Crew Cab Dually with an EXTREME lowering job on it! It has air bags in the back but the truck was under construction and they were not opperable... I watched as the Young kid at discount proceeded to drive up on the ramp! I was inside... I went tearing into the bay yelling "WTF do you think your doing?? You will get the thing stuck if you drive up on there!" I explained to him once I had calmed down a bit he had to jack it up... the frame sits about 3-4inches lower than the body as it is an un-body dropped 1 Ton truck! Friken idiot... if he had gotten over the hump we seriously would have had a problem getting that truck off of there! Watch closely when having your baby worked on... and when at all possible do the work yourself, or find a shop with some people that drive custom vehicles, talk to them, shoot the ****, and get them to remember you so they will know you when you come in! they will have MUCH more respect than your average 16 year old! And probably give you discounts as well! I once got my brakes bled for $10.00 just talkin to the guy and shootin the **** about Mustangs!

your car looks great

and you are not illegal. if they can't figure out how to lift it, well, they're idiots.

my car sits about 1/2" higher than yours and I just use a regular old rolling floor jack from Wallyworld. Cost me $20. I lift one side at a time and place it on a jack stand. Usually give me more than enough room to do an oil change.
