The interior on the s197s... too shnazzy. It looks too luxerious for my liking. I LOVE the Mach 1's seats because basically they fit me perfectly. I was with my dad when he test drove an 05 and it definitely felt like a smooth ride. But I like the 99-04's better.

yea our cars are more muscle to me. The s197s kinda remind me of a lincoln too much

I drove an auto 06 GT and wasn't that inpressed. I did like how i felt like i was sitting in a mustang and not on a mustang lol. Other than that....wasn't feeling it. And I will never like the looks of the S197s nearly as much as the New Edges.

Had an '01 GT, now in the '07 GT.

* '05+ GT's really improve with CAI and tune! Can't say enough about this combo.

'01: Always felt like I had to keep modding it for performance and looks.
'07: Always looking for mods for performance and looks (no change from my '01).

'05+ exhaust is sweet and no mods necessary, but can if you want to.
'05+ interior w/ IUP is sweet. All I've done is "upgrade" the floor mats - don't feel like it needs more. Other stuff is available if you want to.

'05+ have had their share of problems and a lot of TSB's. My '07 has a hood scoop that doesn't fit flush (minor) and the dreaded "clunking" front suspension that we're all waiting to see ifFord isgoing to 1) Find the problem and, 2) Release a TSB (hopefully it's not a "real" suspension problem, rather an anoyance; we'll see, I hope).

Too many things to compare but, overall, I like my '07 3-valve much more thanI liked my'01 2-valve, which I loved.

If you're into modifying your Mustangs and you test drive an '05+ to check the difference in performance, remember that the first mod you'll probably do (it seems) is the CAI/Tune combo; meaning it really isn't a good comparison due to what I wrote in my 2nd line (above with the "*").

my friend just got an '07 and i dorve it actually yesterday. it didn't seem like it had a lot of power to me. i think it was WAY too smooth for a mustang. i let him drive my new edge and he loved it. then again, i have plenty of bolt-ons and my exhaust makes it sound a lot better than his flowmaster american thunder axle backs with stock mid-pipe. you can hardly hear the thing.......over all though, i liked the '07.
