Interesting. I might just go ahead and have them install the head unit and see what the end result is. If I'm not happy with it, I can always have the rest installed later.

My my own experience, i put a new head unit in and left the rest of the mach system in. You can actually run speaker level inputs to the stock mach460 amps so you have the power of the head unit plus thepower of the mach 460. JMO

I just talked to the guy doing the install and he said that with the head unit that I got allows me to control the levels on all the speakers and that it comes out sounding really good. So I'm gonna go ahead and try that out first and see what happens.

These are also the harness that you will need, I would recomend doing it yourself, its not that hard and I would not trust someone else working on my car, If something is screwed up i would feel better if i did it myself. These are the wiring harness that will work for you. This will power your radio http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCOFD08B?vq_id=none. While this harness will give you speaker level inputs to your stock amps http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCOFD06BGood luck and let us know what you plan on doing

I'm having it professionally installed so that the DVD Player and the Labor are covered by a warranty. It makes me feel a little bit better about having my car worked on to know if it gets screwed up, they have to fix it.

Thats cool man, I just like putting things on myself. I would also talk to them so that they wire it up so that you can play dvds with out the parking brake. Head units that have dvd players have a wire that you are supposto wire to the parking brake so that you can only watch movies while the car is not moving.

I already talked to them about that. They said they couldn't do it, but I'm going to ask him again when I'm actually there and see if I could pay him something on the side to do it for me. Otherwise I know a couple of places that will do it off the books.
