Default Brake pads

I got my car inspected and I need some new brakes. I my plans are to swap my GT brakes out with the Cobra ones sometime in the summer. I close on a house in 2 weeks so I dont want to front the money now.
So.... Whats a good brake pad to go with?

Hawk HPS. Semi aggressive, quiet, and LONG LIFE!!!!!!!! Brake dust is really low too. I got the fronts off Ebay for ~$80. Give them a try.

Noticable difference when braking? I notice right now my braking distances is pretty long.

Definately. I have regular ole GT brakes in the front, and Cobra brakes on an IRS in the back. The front pads made a noticeable difference. I dont really care/pay attention to braking tho.
