4.6 stroker

Default 4.6 stroker

i am buildinthe motor inmy 97 gt i already have full bolts on for it,and i bought a short block stroked to a 5.0 also pi heads pi intake manifold and stage 3 cams. i have everything else that goes along with the parts. iam just not sure wat the stroker kits will do how much power iam i lookin at

A couple hundred dollars over a regular forged setup? Doesnt sound to bad to me.

If its a stroker it almost has to be able to take the RPM, being an afttermarket shortblock.

To the orginal poster, make sure you have everything lined out. If you have a higher compression shortblock with non notched pistons (or even if you don't) the very first thing your gonna want to do when you get the cams in is check for PTV... even then be careful. The guy that built ZW99GTs engine went thru 2 or 3 of them because of rod strech and problems with PTV.

Thats exactly right. I have a recipt for $2300 for repairs. lol

And b/c of the problem, I have ~2 extra cubic inches for boreing out .030the damage, and stronger Probe pistons. lol
