Default Exaust....for all those PA MF'ers

Hey guys,
1) Do any of you guys drive around catless, ever been pulled over and Inspection?


2) Ok baught a car from my causin neighbor. The mustang has shorty headers, a bassani x pipe (no cats) and flowmasters. The guy said it passed inspection without the cats?? And no cells How so?

i am from philly and i asked this question earlier because everyone around here is running catless mid pipes (dunno how but they do)

Exactly. I have shortie headers, BBK off-road X, and Mac catback. I have found a guy who will just pass that part of the inspection. Otherwise, it would fail the sniffer test.

I thought on OBDII cars they dont do the sniffer anymore, isnt it only plug in?

No, OBD II cars do get tested as well. I am not 100 percent sure but I would say approx. 95 percent

Im in pennsylvania, i have shorties, offroad x, and slp LM1s,which is a rediculously loud setup, haven't had a problem yet and its been a good 2 years, just dont drive retarded in residential areas, i also have up to date emissions just gotta meet the right person to get through without the cats.

I have the MAC X pipe with Dynomax hi flow cats welded in (last time I ever weld something in myself) because I don't want to screw around with being hassled getting my car inspected. I even put the bungs in the x-pipe so I could plug in the O2 sensors.

I just called a place called mighty muffler, thats owned by evolution perfromance just to see what it would cost for cats....they want 500 for 2 cats and install....wow

I still have to get confirmation on this, but I heard that in Pa if you don't drive more than 5000 miles a year, you get an automatic waive of the emissions test. I do know a place where I live (downingtown) that has no problems with you running long-tubes (blind eye), but don't know about mid-pipe.
