If you are staying NA & never going the route of FI/Nitrous, the Mach 1 will suit you much better.
If you plan on going FI @ some point, keep your GT.

No nitrous for me. I'm not into that. Plus it's illegal here in Canada. I think.

thanks for the info.
what's this about forged motors?
also, with a few bolt-on mods on my GT, would i get the same power as the Mach 1?
$ for $ am i beter to upgrade my GT rader than buying a Mach or Cobra.
thanks for the info.

RE: what do you think about Mach 1's
I love how people say "I can beat a Mach 1 with my add-ons", my response is DUH! If you add the same add-ons to the Mach 1, then what is faster? hmm...
AMach 1 is NOT a GT with a Cobra engine, there is more on the Mach 1 that has been upgraded than a GT, and most are comparible to Cobras e.g. 13" Brembo disc brakes, subframe connectors, 80mf sensor, dual 57mm Throttle Body, etc. And no, I did not even mention the Mach 1 usual characteristics like interior, shaker, etc. There are Cobra parts missing too however, like IRS and supercharger (comparing 03-04 with 03-04).
As a previous cobra owner and a current Mach 1 owner, I can say that either you would enjoy. Don't get either if you are worried about gas mileage. If you are worried about gas mileage, get a V6 or a focus. Both are upgraded as easy, Mach 1 parts are harder to find.
There were a total of 16,834 Mach 1's produced in 03-04 (only late model years made).
There were a total of 19,140 Cobras produced in 03-04 (many other years made).
So Mach 1 is more rare.
Only difference one has to worry about is forged engine, and you worry about that if you are planning on spending a lot of money on horsepower. If you are ok with getting to 420hp or so before doing engine work, Mach 1 is a good alternative to a Cobra. The s/c'ed Cobra ('03+) of course costs more.
So basically, if you want more than a GT, it is personal preference. I would get a Mach 1 vs a pre-'03 cobra, but that is preference not performance based. If you want performance based, look up all the specs that you are concerned about and then compare.
