thats not a cobra and it looks likeit could havebeen hit in the front...look at the paint difference...that may explain the low miles...I bought a "low mileage" scirocco way back when and it had been hit...but at least it was a real 16v car...ha!

A CARFAX won't tell you if a smuck car body shop repaired it or not. The Carfax is only really for dealers or insurance companies that declare a loss on something and pay out of their pocket. There are more cars out there that carfax doesn't have on their lists that have been crashed than they do have actually marked as damaged! Did you follow??
That's a friggin GT. Look at the badge on the fender! It goes side to side. Cobras are up and down, also that may even be a 6 cylinder converted..lol What the heck are those wheels. Kinda corny. What kind of front bumper is on it and what does the steering wheel show where the horn is? I though t Cobras had emblems on the horn. What color are the guages and what size are those rear rotors? Does it even have a 32v motor in it? Some Colors can fade and get distorted in certain angles with cheap cameras and certain types of light, but that's as clear as day! ALSO look at the rear fender. Looks like it's been dented in and popped back out the way the sun reflects off of it??????

A CARFAX won't tell you if a smuck car body shop repaired it or not. The Carfax is only really for dealers or insurance companies that declare a loss on something and pay out of their pocket. yeah thats not the car im looking at, but i do understand that about car fax.
yeah i e mailed the guy lastnight still haven't heard anything back yet but we'll see. is there anything about these cars i should know? i know not to get a pre 99 GT cause there not PI but these are DOHC, any reason not to get one?

Do not rely on CarFax.
Why?
If the accident wasn't reported to the police or to an insurance company...it will not show up! In other words: If the repairs were paid with cash - it'll have a clean title. You need to run your fingers along all the body line edges, feel for any build-up or tape marks. If the car is lined up PERFECTLY, chances are it's been hit and it was repaired very well. Factory tolerances are pretty large and brand new Mustangs line up like garbage...
Question any new looking bushings in the suspension. Check the wheel wells for any funny marks. Check the trunk for any goofy ness, along with under the hood.

is the guy local?? where did you find the car? could be a scam... for sure... i bought a 97 supra TT on ebay once... never got it... i wouldnt be a mustang man though.. but i would have one fast *** supra.. lol
