Coil over rear suspension???
Alright, i'm pricing out my suspension. I'm doing a complete rebuild, I know its going to be overkill, but it's going to be a dedicated drag car very soon, so i'm going to do it right the first time. I'm only doing the rear suspension right now. Tub kmember and stuff will come later.
So far, eaton posi, 31 spline forged axles, full lenght subframes, girdle, adjustable struts/shocks, lower control arms, (maybe, just maybe 3.73's), and probably ET streets even though I want slicks.
My question to you guys is... would it be worthwhile to do a coilover system? Not many people have it on here, but I havent really even heard reviews etc.

RE: Coil over rear suspension???
The begiest differences you will notice will be made by the subframes and the coilovers. I was talking to a guy working at a shop that was building a fox body for road racing with full suspension and he said that coilovers (though expensive) make a world of difference.

Right, but theres a difference between road racing and drag racing. I mean i know it wouldnt hurt to do it, but is it worth it is the question.

get a torque arm and panhard bar... also a adjustable sway bar... if your doing drag racing... those will all help you out.. then you can take your upper control arms off also because they will not be doing anything for the axle...
and some slicks... you will be pulling awesome sixty foots with all that..
i plan on getting the coil overs too.. i just dont know when

Coilovers are nice but depending on how you have suspension setup can be mildly bouncy at times I run the back and the front ce 3way adj in rear kyb adj frs. They are def nice to have to dial in weight transfer and all that stuff but are geared towards road race from what I have seen and what I use them for is just cruising/handling doesn't see track really.
