Hey MD. I get a grinding sound from my car as well. It's only when I take off from a complete stop. It feels like it may be coming from the rear. If I balance the clutch just right and get going forward it does'nt do it much, but the slower I take off, the longer the grind.

I am calling the local Ford dealership tomorrow to get it looked at. I will let you folks know what they say. Hopefully, the extended warranty will cover whatever is wrong.

His car actually does have a limited slip diff. If it was ever serviced, someone might have forgotten to add friction modifier to it. This may be the problem because, if you don't add the modifier, your clutch packs get toasted. In turn, all of the clutch material floats in the fluid.

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing
I took the Mustang in today. The dealer reported the rear wheel bearings need replaced. Good call.
