anyone knoe the best kind of power increase for under 500 dollars ?

so far i got o/r x-pipe with slp lm1's it sounds awsome
anyone knoe of anything good for under 500 im looking for something real soon but really offordable

You could probably do gears for under $500. Gears WILL be your best bang for your buck bolt on.

mgw shifter 200
cold air intake 200
or find a used programmer

I dont know about power, but if its a stick, a short throw shifter would show some big improvement over the stock one.

3.73 will not be that much of an improvement, since stock is 3.55

true but some people are that concerned wit gas they wont go that low of a gear

how much will they run?

gas won't be too much of a difference between 3.55 and 4.10s
some people actually get better mileage, because 4.10s make 5th gear much more useable, both in the city for light cruising or on the highway, where you can cruise in 5th and actually be able to pass people

I too used to be concerned with gas, but I realized the difference is only a couple hundred RPMs, nothing too drastic, especially when compared to the results (arguably the best bang for the buck mod). Also, I am getting drag radials, so I won't be able to travel in excss of 60 in the rain, so I won't even be burning that much gas [sm=gears.gif]

unless you are gonna get atleast 410's you are waisting your money, my friend has 430's in his 5 speed mach 1 and still get 17-18 mpg
