I have a 2001 and 2004 both gts..... when the traction control light isON in the dash that means the traction control is off??? because that's what i read in another forum.

Yes thats right.

edit-- You mean the light on the button or the little wheel that lights up in the cluster??

Yes. Consult your manual on that one.

Traction control is automatically set as on upon startup of the vehicle.
Unless you've done some modification to that, it should always be on until you press the button to turn it off.

t/c should be on when you turn the car on, when you push the button and the light comes on it means the t/c is off.


now if you have t/c on(light off) and you loose traction on the rear wheels, there will be a little green tire spining indicator on your gauge cluster.

i have an 03 and traction control is off only when you push the TC button and the light on it comes on. when the green tires spinning light comes up on your dash, that means TC is engaged and being used. try running the 1/4 with it on. you'll no
