i have done it 2 times before... not counting having to put the headers back in my car within the month and also the passenger side back on a friends car within the next week... it is a very fun procedure.. you have to support the engine with a cherry picker and then drop the k member... then it is almost ready for the headers to fit in there... if you have an impact, a hack saw, a cherry picker, and basic tools, you can do the job yourself... my first time it took 10 hours, second time took like 8... the hardest part i would say is getting the k member back on because it is so heavy.. i would suggest getting 2 strong friends to help you lift it back into place when you put the bolts back in.. i sware its almost the same weight as the motor... lol... you dont have to pull the starter for the job, but you can... also you may need to move the steering shaft to get the headers on there depending on the brand... just pm me or let me know if you want me to explain it better.. its late and ive had a few beers so explaining this stuff isnt as easy as it looks. lol
