Default adjusting your clutch

my clutch seems to be getting progressively worse every time I drive the car. Seems like I have to keep letting it out farther and farther for it to engage. The clutch is only like a year old and Im fairly gentle on it. And I was just wondering if there was a way you could adjust it.
I used to have a 96 gt and my brother used to adjust by taking the actual pedal and it made like a ratchiting sound and he claimed thats how you adjusted it. and i was just wondering if that really does do anything.

The owners manual will have you lift up on the clutch pedal until you here a "click" then press it down to the floor. I did this and didn't notice any difference.

I think you have limited adjustablity on the stock clutch with its plastic quadrent. I have the fully adjustable kit from Steeda and I like it, but I think it could be better. Maybe I'm not using it to its full potential lol.

Is there anyway to put the clutch farther down towards the floor?

Yeah, buy an aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster. I just sold mine brand new. I put in a new clutch and thought I needed it, but I lifted up the clutch and no problems. Those adjusters are a waste of money in my opinion. That ratcheting did me just fine.

Ideally, you want the clutch to engage w/ the pedal up near the height of it's travel.. If you put the pedal more towards the floor, as things wear, it usually will not disengage all the way, or re-engage fully..
