can the stock plastic intake in the 99 and up gt handle 100 shot without cracking?

is it worth installing the typhoon or should i return it?

I've been doing it for 4 years. With anyting have the right safety equiptment and you should be fine. I bought another (plastic) intake because I didn't have the aluminum intake.

I think the problem is when people spray at too low on an RPM and the fule puddle in the intake. I guess it later ingintes and boom. Like I said I've been spraying for 4 years (with the right safety stuff) with no problems. I went to the track a few years ago with a couple friends, neither had a window switch and I warned them both. 1 line up got about 1/2 track and boom, sounded like a 12 ga. shotgun. The next one got a little farther and boom.
