Because like kaz says.. ENLESS YOU HAVE AN SVT CERTIFICATION then its simply not a cobra... period.

And no... all cobras (real ones) are built and svt certified.

I dont get you guys, you say its ok to put everything cobra on a car, But if you put one cobra badge on it its dumb and gay. That doesnt make any sense to me???

The same goes for someone who puts a 4.6 into their V6 body... It would NOT make it a GT... It would just make it a V6 with a V8 engine....
Think of it in a little more extreme way... Say i threw an LS1 engine into my GT [:'(]and i put Z28 emblems on it... This is exactly what you would be doing.

Well it should..... its simply not a cobra... If i was going to purchase a cobra and it turned out to be a clone i would punch the guy in the nuts for lying to me... If you have no paperwork... Its not a fuggin cobra.

I can kinda see why you think its dumb, but i still dont see the big deal. If someone goes through the trouble of swapping out an engine and everything, I think they deserve to badge it a cobra if they want too. BUT they should not tell people its an "authentic" cobra though. They should come clean and say its an engine swapped and rebadged gt. Thats my opinion, but i can kinda see your guys side too.

As long as you don't call it a Cobra it's ok. The Cobra emblems make you calling your GT a Cobra.

And there wasn't 1 single Cobra built that wasn't built by SVT.

What if they shave their Gt emblems? Then anyone who sees the car will think its an authentic cobra.
