Have u guys seen those films tht u can put over ur bumpers to protect your bumper from rock chips. I was wondering if those really work???

Yes it does work very well and you can barely tell that it's installed on the car.
My buddy has it on his Camaro.

The stuff is made by 3M and I *think* you might have to get it professionally installed by a body shop.
Not sure on that, but the website indicates so.

well i just wanted to know if it stuck out like a sore thumb tht it was on there???

Looks like sh*t. Friend of my dad has it on his black viper, the front & the side mirrors, and i noticed before he even told me about it. From far away it looks fine, but standing next to it looks crappy. You can see the line were the 3M coating stops and the paint starts. I would rather have a few nics here and there than have the stuff on my car. My advice stay away from it.
