just bought saleen 18 inch rims,... anybody lower their car with these rims, tyring to firgure out the perfect height, and if its a good idea or not, ... i feel like my suspension sucks already, i have a 99 gt, any thoughts peoples thanks

Nope, but I can tell you I have mine lowered 1.6 in the front and 1.5 in the rear and I could probably still fit 20"s on that biatch! It will look good with 18" rims with a 1.5" lowering springs.

yea my 98 has I believe 1.5" springs with 18's on it and it never rubbed and got rid of the huge wheel gap the mustungs have and it will actually raise your car a little depending on how big the tires you put on it, so you definitely dont have to worry about scraping.

thanks for the pics. r those the 95 chrome cobra r's you have. right now i have y2k cobra r's in silver and i love the way they look on my car i am thinking of getting the same wheel but in chrome. does that sound too dumb. can anyone host a few pics of my car for me. thanks

im actually still trying to figure out how to put pics in my sig and i forget the site md recommended. sorry. but the chrommies would look great, personnaly the only silver i ever liked on the gt's were the silver bullitt wheels, cause they look bad ***. but if they are cobras then they gotta be shiny! um not sure what year they are but they look like an earlier style cobra wheel.

If you want the right heighth springs with the Saleen rims, it's easy. -Just get some Saleen progressive rate springs. With the Saleen springs, you can't go wrong; Saleen already did the engineering for ya. The ride heighth will be absolutly perfect, the same as a stock Saleen.

but make sure if you do that make sure you get the specs for the same tire they use, just to be safe
