who is running bbk long tubes with their stang lowerd? i am and my clearance sucks *****. i need to do something bout it asap. i cannot even go into parking gardges. think a muff shop would actully be able to do something about this?





and if i do get a muff shop to do something about this should i go with a x pipe or keep the h pipe? i have flowmaster 40's

Nice... i have csprings on my car with the longtubes and i scrape alot. I looks like you need to raise your midpipe up. Mine doesn't even hang that low. Hold on and let me go outside and take some pics of it!

Mine hang low, too... my headers that is. I don't think there's much you can do other than raise the car a bit seeing that the headers are firmly affixed to the engine... maybe you can raise the engine? that wouldn't be the best idea, i'm sure.

what mid pipe and headers are you running. the bbk ones are the only ones that are angled down to the ground

holy crap...thats really low...what kind of springs you have? i have BBK Longtubes and have occasional clearance issues on big bumps, but nothing really major. plus your midpipe does look like its sagging.

well i bought the springs used off of a friend who bought them used, he was told they are pro-kit, i still think they are sport lines but not sure. top of wheel well sits at 26 inches.


when i did long tube headers on another mustang i noticed by the back of the trans there was a place to have two hangers that go to the mid pipe. when i did mine. i didnt have them and still dont have them. i have always wondered what those two sticks coming off of the mid pipe were for but never figured it out.

do you think if i buy the braket and the hangers i will be sitting fine. or should i go to an exhaust shop and have them fab something up. im ready to go run long tubes with just race bullits on it and say **** it if its loud its loud. thats what them camarro boys do. and i think mitch is running that set up.

I'm running a dr gas xpipe and bbk longtubes.

Loosen your mid pipe at all four corners and put a floor jack under it. Jack the mid pipe up as far as you can and tighten the bolts back up. There is no need to get the mid pipe hangers. Once you do this and tighten the bolts back up the pipe will stay there.
