just saying HI
I've noticed that I try and wave or beep the horn or thumbs upat other people driving mustangs, But most people about 90% don't do it back. Iguess that I take alot of pride in my cars herritage and I guess not everyone driving a mustang feels the same way. And what really gets to me is that my dad has a corvette and they all wave at each other. I like to think we are just as cool as they are[:'(]if not cooler.[8D]Does anyone else do this or feel the same way?

RE: just saying HI
Sadly alot of people who drive a nice car... like a clean GT... think they are hott shi* and too good for others.... Sometimes i will just simply be driving normally and have someone in a stock GT shake his head at me and floor it?

If someone is going to take the time to say hi to me, I'll kindly return the gesture, however I'll have to agree with Adam03GT and tc3nitall4. People with nice cars, or cars they think are fast, look down their nose at everyone else, so I wont go out of my way to say hi to them first.

Honestly I didn't know that Mustang owners did that. I had a Jeep Wrangler before I got the Mustang, and most of the guys that own Wranglers did it, but there is history behind it. Wrangler owners do it because before Hummers came out the Jeep Wrangler was the vehicle used in the military, and only high officers drove around in them, so the soldiers always saluted them and then it just stuck for it. I will start waving now.

if people wave at me i wave back usually the only people that wave at me have cobras too. When i had the mach 1 every single one i ever saw waved at me except for a silver one i kept seeing. I think there are so many v6 and gt stangs is overwhelming so they dont wave at all.

Exactly... Honestly i have gotten the most thumbs up and smiles and 'hey nice car' from F-bod owners LOL... And rather than sharing a hello with another mustang owner i have had older guys in corvettes actually wave me to pull over and ask me about my car. I like the ACTUAL car lovers... not stuck up bi*ches...

**** there is so many Mustangs anymore I stopped doing that. But when I do I get a heads up and wave back. I mostly wave at the other guy in my area I see every now and then that has a first gen Lightning like me.
