Default Which Year?

I am new to the Mustang World and need help deciding on which platform to buy. I have two cars I am very interested in, a '98 Gt and a '00 Gt. They both are in excellent shape and have an intake and exhaust. I was wondering which would respond better to modifications. I eventually want to supercharge the car. I know the '00 have the P1 heads, but i have also been told they are a lot heavyier then the Sn95 years. Any suggestions? I am trying to run 13's with as little money as possible.

Heavier..no the 94-04's are maybe 400lbs at most heavier than foxbodies. But if I were you and liked the 94-98 style then get a 94 or 95 they have the 5.0 which will repond to mods sooooo much better than any 4.6L crapper 00gt won't be any better for mods than the 98. Only diff is the +50 to start with over the 98

the 00 will be your best bet to get to the 13s. the 98 will be lucky to hit low14s, you could hit high 13s with just some DRs on the 00 - if its a 5spd, and the weight of the two car is not there they are the same platte from of car
