The nitto's are decent tires if you want a happy medium between mileage, straight line traction, and handling. My MT d/r's suck for handling. The sidewall is too soft and thin.

I've got the Kumho ECSTA SPT on my rear end right now. 255x35x17...they don't makeit inthat size you specified unfortunately.

I love this tire. it's a "Ultra High Performance Summer Tire" and they aren't kidding. can't get traction for **** when it's wet outside, but when it's dry, nice tire. it's also very quiet during a burnout. none of that damn screeching

I'm in the same boat...either BFG KDW2s (255/40/17) or Nitto 555 Drag Radials (275/40/17)

I run toyo's, but nittos are just a sub faction of toyo. LOVE THEM! Its what I recommend

How much power are you putting to the wheels?
If it's under 350, I'd say go with some BFG KDWs and some Max. Motorsports lower control arms...
If it's around or over 350, I'd go with the Nitto D/Rs

Other factors: How much track time will you see? If you plan on going to the track, street tires won't be any good. How much rain will you see? Drag radials + Rain = Trouble

I have the step up from those the MX and I'm sliding all over the damn place. I'm honestly a little afraid when the boost comes.

I would say forget both of them and get Michelin Pilot Sport PS/2's. Michelin is the corporate owner of BFG. They release the best tires under the Michelin name and the second rate under the BFG name. I get great traction we or dry. They are rated summer only however I drove them in snow this year (as I don't have the money for two sets of tires for one car) and they did ok. Michelin has a DR as well. http://www.michelinman.com/overview/..._cup/1719.htmlMichelin's may be a bit more expensive, but well worth the price IMO.

BFG's! they were made for these types of cars. the only downside would be they might be kinda noisy just because of the big tread blocks, i work at Americas Tire Co. and have heard both ends of the stick but if you have a loud exhaust it shouldnt matter anyways right?? lol. Id go with the bfgs it would just be a better tire allaround. Also check out the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 as well.
