It had a miss while idleing. No noise, no smoke, just a miss while idleing. The spark plug was melted so I put new plugs in but that didn't fix it. I put the compression tester on and it made 60 lbs while idleing. When I reved it up it went to 210 lbs because of the supercharger. Once the boost came on it and upped the compression the cylinder started firing and the car ran perfect ( no smoke or anything).

4v motor, you've already got the fun stuff, you can pick up a Mach1 motor for <$6k brand new.

shop around a junkyard, and you might find a Cobra motor in decent condition.

I would have to get a different supercharger bracket and my headers wouldn't work. I've thought about a 4v swap but I've gone too far with the 2v now. I like telling people they just got beat by a 2v anyway. If you have a 4v they expect it to go fast.

different bracket can't be that much $, headers are fairly cheap

dude, it's a 4v...go for it. Next time I re-up, my poor little GT is getting a 4v and T-56. if I can swing it, it'll also get the KB 2.1

if someone knows enough to understand what you mean by 2v, then that person will definately respect that you've got a 4v. they should expect it to go fast, you're packing boost

why would he get a non-built 4v motor when he could get a built 2v that could take way more punishment for about the same price? <3 my MMR built motor.

Don't forget to check out Sean Hyland Motorsports :
http://www.seanhylandmotorsports.com/

For whatever reason they aren't mentioned much on this forum but they are definately leaders in the Modular Motor arena.

How much horsepower are you shooting for? That will determine alot of what you are going to spend..

Up to 650HP Parts :
http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/...products_id=49

Shortblock :
http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/...rtblocks.shtml

Longblock:
http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/...ngblocks.shtml

The thing with the longblock is that since you have PI heads, it would be better to go with upgraded heads and cam's, especially with the blower. But you are talking 10G's at that point so be prepared.

I really like the Sean Hyland stuff but man, he's really proud of it. As for the 4v, I think it would be to much of a hassle.
