so what will you be doing when you run out of gear in the 1/4mile?
By my calculations he'll be in 4th at around 5100 to 5200 rpms. Almost perfect.
its fine if your NA, but once you go boost... forget about it

what does a gear install usually cost? i was looking at 3.90's too, but just curious as to what the install costs....

I would guess from $250 to $300 labor. Average around here.

My cousin works witha guy that builds racecars and he said he could do it for me and I'm makin a trip to my cousins this weekend and I had the money so I went and bought the gears yesterday... Do they make that much of a difference?

im the one who got 4.10s and wants morethough after adding cams a taller tire and such i think this year of racing i'll be finishing perfectly with the 4.10's at the end of the 1/4

There motive's and I paid $190... I got um at a local shop cause I needed um in a hurry and didnt have time to order them offline. It was a quick decision.

Yeah, but @ 6000 rpm in 4th he'll be hitting around 107 mph. Who wants to have to shift into 5th going 107mph???

3.73 is a great gear for the 5 speed. 4.10 is a little tall for a 5 speed, great for an auto.

hey DILO2001GT, where did you get that Ford Racing bumper insert? that is pretty sweet looking
