i have an '03 and didn't have that problem. it was a PITA to install in the fenderwall though...tight fit...
+1 Mine had the hole for the sensor, but I don't have one, so I used the plug they included. And getting that fender part to fit almost made me want to quit. But I figured if they can get a man on the moon, and a bear to ride a bicycle, I can get a round rubber tube in a slightly smaller round metal hole.
