I have an 03 GT as well with the Mach 1000, and it plays burned cd's, I dont know why the 460 wouldn't. Have you tried any other burned cd's besides just one, maybe its a bad disc, or a burn problem???

I just burned a CD today and played it in mine. It worked fine. Did you check and make sure to see if the burned CD works in another CD player besides your PC. It could be the CD brand.

I think I know the problem... I had the same problem... just figured it was a Ford POS that didnt play burned disks... untill I put in a friends burned disk, arguing it wouldnt play... low and behold the ***** played! The difference in disks?? mine were CD-RW's (the ones you can erase and re-burn, "ReWrite") his was a CD-R (cant be re-written), They will play CD-R's... but not CD-RW's!

it may be your burner or burning software.

when i would burn discs on my laptop at 24x, discs would sometimes pick up, sometimes wouldn't. when they would, they would skip like someone scrubbed the disc with steel wool. another time was when i went from nero 6.x to the crappy nero 7 ultra. all the discs played fine, but had that nice steel wool tune.

make sure the disks are "finalized"after they are burnt, or they wont play in any radio.
