Could I put the catback on the H I have now, then the X when i purchase it or just wait all together?
What kind of h is it? If its stock or any of the usual aftermarket ones, yes you can use the catback with it. Just install the x later on when you get the money.

Just to add, I installed a MAC cat-back last night. I started the car once the stock system was removed. That was loud. That was still with stock headers, H-pipe. I could not imagine driving around like that/.

From personal experience, if your gonna run anything pure straight piped, have it dump out the rear of the car. Ive run around with an open o/r x and it's seriously unbearable, and I love my car loud. I would say go pay around 25bucks to have a muffler shop cut out the mufflers and put in fillers untill you get you catback. It wont sound as raw, but it will still be loud, the noise just wont be coming from under your butt (which makes a HUGE difference in the cab)

just wait and get the full package done at one time. you'll go deaf and get tickets left and right if you do it

btw,a 383 strokerwith long tube header and nothing else can throw flames over 10 feet....I had earplug, and ear muffs on, and I still got ringing in my ears. but I noticed my shoes melting to the floorpan first
