Default Timing chain question

I am installing my timing chains and I need to know if the passanger side chain is supposed to be so lose? Are the chains specific per side?

no try and get them as tight as possible, and when your oil pressure comes up the tensioners will correct for the slop. Take a big wrench and put it on one of the cams and move it, you will see that it will be loose in different areas as you move it. Try and get it as tight as you can , but if its alittle loose the tensioner will take car of it.

Hope that helps

Ok cause on the passanger side the chain touches the other side of the chain in the middle. I am going to go take a pic.

It is official. I am a complete moron. I turned the passanger side cam and it took the slack out of it. Wow I should never be allowed near a vehicle again lol.

Ha ha. It happened to me, too. I moved the cam a little bit and it tightened right up. I knew my timing tensioners were loose, but that was way too loose. [8D]
