Exactly what they said, I broke an aftermarket upper control arm bushing launching at 2k with a 2.0 60. Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't. If you're afraid go ahead and get everything built and welded.

I seriously think you will rip your torque boxes out before you screw your rearend up. Go and buy some battle boxes before you do and maybe some subframe connecters from twisitng the body but your rearend should be able to take a beating before it craps out

I launch at 4k with a stock clutch and stock rear with MT ET street radials. I pulled a 1.83 60' (bogging a little) a few weeks ago. You could prolly get by with the hardened 28 splines. I know a guy with comparable hp & tq #'s as yours that launced at 5k and snapped a hardened 28 spline moser. Like the others have said, there is no real definitive answer drive it until it breaks and then replace. If you don't want to do that invest in a 31 spline carrier and 31 spline hardened axles.

Check American Muscle for the clutch. They seem to be the cheapest around. I suggest the stage 3 spec. About 20 bucks more and you get about the same drivability and a bunch more room for future power. I didn't really notice a big difference between the spec 2(on 02 GT) and spec 3 (on 04 GT).

Im launching around 4500 this spring when I get to the track on the same tires. Hoping for a 1.8 range 60'

Just go have fun. If it breaks, oh well. Fix it.

*I don't have money to fix things though..lol, so I could see down time if I break*
