my dad has a 96 mercury grand marquis 4.6 and engine blew so baught a motor out of a 2000 mustang gt 4.6 and bellhousing bolts and everything in same spot so thought would work but now some 1 is telling him that it wont said crank sensor and **** wont work on that car but i think it will but not really sure bout it hope does thanks

i assume you wanna know if a MUSTANG motor will work in a GRAND MARQUIS... yes, after you change the computer and some other stuff. any motor will work in ANY car, its just a matter of mating the motor with a computer and a tranny. not going to be cheap

It should work just fine. Compare the sensors.

english well my bad didnt use periods but damn if you went to school you should be able to still read but damn my bad sorry ........... so that mean there might be chance have to change comp in car or not ? we are using all our wiring harness off old engine and sht but if dont work the motor will be 4 sale i guess ..........................

IF i'm reading what you tried to write, yes it should be a fairly straightforward swap. Computer, and engine w/tranny from top to bottom should make it easy. I dont know about the drive shaft though. That would be the only thing you need to look into. If the tranny is different (shorter or longer) than the Marquis one then you will have to find a drive shaft that works or modify one.

ok thanks man. but no sorry forgot to mention we are using stock tranny in grand marguise cause it will bolt up to that engine dad jus said some other guy told him sensors and **** was gonna be different but we are using old **** off our old motor. like our intake , injectors and pretty much whole wire harness
