PCV valve

How the heck do I get this thing out. I was trying to take it out but I am afraid of it breaking off.

yeah pull, you can usually take it out with one finger. Are you sure you are pulling on the PCV valve??[8D]

that's it... don't know why it wouldn't come out. It is probably pretty overdue for a change and is stuck in there pretty good, so just keep puuullllllllin
