Another Handling Question
I am going to be getting some 4.10's and an MGW this Spring/early summer and I wanted to throw some suspension in there also. I want to eliminate body roll as much as possible. I don't care if I lose weight transfer for the drags. I don't run it at the track.
How do these handling mods sound? Will I notice a big difference?
Ford Racing "C" Springs
KYB Adjustable Shocks/Struts
Full Length Subframe Connectors
Front and Rear Sway Bars
Which sway bars and SF connectors do you guys recommend?
Any other ideas would be great
Thanks

RE: Another Handling Question
to be honest the stock sways are more than you'd need if you arent gonna be cornering... use the money you were gonna use on the sways and buy a c/o kit. That will help you shave unsprung weight down and reduce body roll by alot. I would go with either griggs, maximum motorsports, or global west for subframes... the maximum motorsports powder coated one is a nice piece, helps keep the rust out.

RE: Another Handling Question
yes coilovers, I have the maximum motorsports hd bilstein front and rear c/o's. No you do not need a k member, and thats another thing, you do not need an aftermarket k member unless you wanna save weight, make more room, or the car is strictly open track(another waste of money).
I have these

I bought em for about 1400 shipped from a local dealer in norcal, stangsuspension can also get a pretty good deal on them as well

RE: Another Handling Question
How much will these lower the car? I don't know much about coil overs. Will these work out better than springs and adjustable shocks and struts?
I could get springs and adjustable shocks and struts for abotu $600 and then some subframe connectors for another $150-200. The whole coil over kit would be about $1600 after the sf connectors. How much better will it really be?

RE: Another Handling Question
your looking at about 1600 with everything, if you do install yourself, the coilovers are adjustable, you just jack your car up and turn a collar a couple of times and you can either lower it or raise the car. With 1600 your buying front rear coil over springs, bilstein hd struts/shocks, sub frames and c/c plates.

RE: Another Handling Question
You can do it for less than 1600 if you buy the best of everything brand new then your going to be paying a lot more but it depends on what you really want to do because it is a significantly higher price than a $300 coilspring kit....

RE: Another Handling Question
if your not into handling then I wouldnt recommend the coilovers. If your just looking for a better than stock setup the one you listed minus the sway bars is suffice. Also if you are into handling, or if you want a drastically better handling gt, look into a panhard bar.
