Default NEW MOTOR?

So right now I have a ticking noise, mustang shop said its a rod. Should i shell out to get it fixed? OR should i just drop a new motor.... if so where's a good place to find one (websites?)?

A "ticking noise" is usually just an exhaust leak. How bad is it?

dont just go with the shop says. if your mechanically inclined take a look if not take it to various shops. get an oil change, run some seafoam, most importantly after all else fails take a black light and look for white smoke coming from the headers/ valvecovers area.

yea definetly get a second opinion if your not sure yourself... dont go spending all that money for it to end up being something stupid
