Wow, half a grand? Thats rediculous, go to a junkyard, find a PI 4.6 and swap heads and intakes, if it costs you a grand I'd be surprised.

a couple of folks have went with this livernois kit, that $500 is giving you the manifold, gaskets, and the whole kit for the npi-pi swap. I personally couldnt see spending that, i just used a little rtv silicone with the pi gaskets and called it a swap, theres a few pics of it on my photobucket. But from what ive heard, that livernois kit is a good deal too....

Get the PI heads and intake and be done with it! Don't half ass it or be afraid of the compression bump!

Dont waste your money on a stock NPI, for just about the same money you can easily have 18rwhp, and a btter base for building up your engine.

The Livernois kit is good if your not sure what you are doing turning wrenches and doing the RTV method. I would recommend it more often if it wasn't for the price of those adapter plates...

You can also get adapter plates from Texas Hot Rods (supporting vendor here) for under $100 then buy a brand new PI intake for @ 150-180 and get the coolant tube/nipple and alt bracket for @ $50 and do the whole job with plates for under $350.

I have my stock PI intake manifold (with plastic crossover) and stock gaskets - you can have it for 50 + shipping lol.... I couldnt justify paying 500+ bucks for that.
