Default Dyno results a little low?

buddys car.... 2003 GT automatic was dynoed and only put down 245.1 rwhp

mods : MAC LT headers, MAC H pipe, SLP LM2's, 75mmtb & plenum, JLT cai, predator tuner, 4.10's....guy said it was a bit cold and wants to re tune it (for free) when the weather gets a bit warmer and he will be able to squeeze a bit more power out of it.....just curious about what you guys think

Sounds a little bit low but only by maybe 5 or so rwhp. I guess you could say it's about right.

Thats about right. And BTW, it being cold outside would yeild better numbers than a hot air temperature. Not sure why that tuner would say that.

Stock mustang = 260 at the motor - 15% drivetrain loss = 229hp.

Intake = 2hp
TB/Plenum = 3hp
Full Exhaust = 10hp

229 + 15hp = 244hp

So looks right to me. Tuner is probably not doing much for him, get a good 91/93 tune to bump it up to 250-255hp...

something about not dumping too much fuel when its cold out (29 degrees[&:]) because when it gets warmer it wont be the same? idk.....i looked at the preadator tune and the car was leaned out to "15" from "25" on the "rich" side from the last time it was tuned....the power on the dyno sheet starts to drop off after about 4900 - 5000 rpm's

he put that down before the tune.... his car is auto... should only put down like 215ish rwhp stock. it has like 20-22% drivetrain loss.

full exhuast gives around 20-25hp...
