Supsension question
I have H&R race springs and i was wondering what problems I would run into by removing the isolators, or would it even make a difference? I'm just wanting my car to sit a little lower and I heard this could be done to bring it down a little.

Creaking noises and accelerated spring perch wear...

RE: Supsension question
ok, well thank you for the quick response. I guess it's not going to happen since i don't want anymore noise than i already deal with (polyurethane) and Accelerated wear on anything is not in my desires

RE: Supsension question
Hey there... I was thinking of getting the Race springs too. How do you like the ride and handling? I know they don't drop too much, which is fine with me, but I was worried about them being too stiff. I'm putting on Bilsteins with them...
Thanks! |
RE: Supsension question
You have todecide which is more important"ride"or handling--though not 100% mutually exclusive, you do have to tradesome of one for the other. If a comfortable ride is more important to you than better handling then (IMHO) you mayfind the H&R race springs and Bilsteins to be a bit harsher than you'd like...

RE: Supsension question
Well I've already bought the parts, so I'm stuck with them for at least a little while. I just wanted to get the best parts and the Race are the least drop for H&R. I really thought about the Sports, but was afraid it would be too low. The car is a DD, but I don't really drive that much, so maybe it'll be fine.
