Default Window wont roll down

My drivers side window won't roll down. When i push the button i hear a clicking noise under the dash. The passenger side works fine. I checked all the fuses and they are good. Do you think it could be a relay? If so where is it located? I dont have an owners manual

Your window regulator is inside of the door shell itself, it should be rivited or somehow attached to the actual window glass itself....im not sure how Ford does the setups (as i work for GM...yuck) but if you take the door panel off and check for power at your door switch itself, check power at the motor as well

If its not the switch or the motor you might be better off getting the regulator as an asembly (if thats how Ford sells them? im not sure) but we usually replace them all together (regulator and motor)

is it a continuos click? or jsut a single click then stops? possible binding cable?

Same thing happened on my 95 Crown Vic.... first it was the regulator..... then the motor. If your car is older (10+ years) that is probably it. Take it in and have it fixed, pulling door panels off in my experience has been a giant pain in the butt. Plastic parts breaking because theyre old and brittle.

If you've never done a window regulator, it's a pain in the a$$. The first one will take you about 2-3 hours. The hardest part is getting it out of the door and the new one back in. I'd give it a shot if I were you.

You said the clicking noise was under the dash not in the door panel. So hold the button down to let the window down and bang on the door panel. Window motors in fords are bad about sticking. If the window lets down then it should work fine afterward. If not then you will need to take it to a shop or get you a big azz rivet gun and buy the regulator and motor as an assembly. I've changed a lot of those and it still takes me about 30 min. so it'll be a bitch your first time.
