hi everyone im not a mustang owner but I have a question for yall and will like a your input. Today I helped my friend put a clutch in his 99 GT. I was done. the clutch was just metal the rivets were melted. so we get the new one in and every thing bolted ( and I know this is going to sound weird) but when the car is out of gear and you let the clutch out it goes forward like its in first. it goes in all the gears fine. then when you put it in first it goes and moves but the car has a bad knock sound every 10 feet or so almost like there is something loose in the trans but you cant were the sound is coming from. Any input would be great. and by the way this is not my first clutch install.

It sounds like to me you screwed up his clutch install.. go back to messing up your el es juan.

If it wasn't doing it before the install, but it is now, you screwed something up. Just ask yourself... what changed? The tranny wasn't working before the install and then just destroyed itself after the clutch install....

Well, since it's stuck in first gear all the time then it's got a broken shift fork. It was probably broken before the clutch install. As for your *** kicking invitation, I ACCEPT!!! Bring your *** to southern Alabama and I'll run you title for title with a burnt valve!!! We have a few respected LS1 guys on here but your just a ****in ***!!!
