Default quick tire size question

Ok so ive made my mind up and I'm going for the BFG g-force KDW 2s...right now my car has 285/35/18s on the rear...the KDW 2s (at least on tire rack) come in 275/35/18 ($201 ea), 285/30/18 ($250 ea.), and 285/40/18 ($250 ea)...these are as close as I can get...the thing is the 275s are 50 bucks cheaper ea. than the 285s so im stuck with deciding if its worth the extra $100 for 1" of rubber...what do you think????

Assuming they all fit on your rims and don't screw up tire height, you are not going to tell a performance difference going from a 285 to a 275, its only 10 mm of difference....

You will notice the diff slightly I would just go wider, your not going to be buying tires that often so you mine as well go wider if that is something you want for the extra 100.I had 275/40/18 and I wanted something wider so I did a 285/35 nitto dr and I'm a lot happier, just my preference I notice every little detail. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

alot of people say theyfit 315 on the rear. if that is in your budget, try them. that's the size I'm getting when I need some tires. provided I can get some people to confirm they have that size and that it will fit without rubbing

Well you certainly don't want a 40 series tire on 18's for the back! I have 245/40/18's on 9" wheels and 275/35/18's on 10" wheels. This is the absolute smallest you can go. They are just wide enough for the rim not to stick out past the tire! I would say do 295/35/18 if possible. The 285's are not 1" wider than 275's. That's not how that works, 10mm like 200 said which is more like 1/2". If you went 275's they will fit your rim with no issues and you won't have any traction troubles, especialy if your on a budget! But no prob.'s with 295's. I am goin with 315/30/18 and putting my 275's up front soon to come!

Ohh and you def. don't want 285/30/18 either. That's too low of a profile. I would go 285/35
