Can I plug the chip in and still utilize the timing adjuster, or will I need to scrap it all together? Hang on to it for me if you dont mind and I will get it from you next payday.

EDIT: Ok, I will sell the timing adjuster. LOL

md, i'm new to the chip thing... if you get a SCT chip you can just pop the factory chip back on in case of warranty work correct? and they cannot tell that you've changed it?

congrats man, and i didn't think it messed up your mpg when you got higher gears.

congrats JD. seems like you're enjoyin them, probably gonna see like 10 mpg for the first tank eh? lol

What was a more noticeable gain in your car, gears or the exhaust? I'm guessing exhaust but just thought i'd ask.

I don't mind holdin it, I've had it sitting in the box now since the blower install (ModPowerhouse couldn't tune JMS's chip - but JMS WILL retune it for $75 as long as you have the same ECU code - which you do). Anyways, The chip already advances the timing up to 14* on the highest setting, so you would have to either set the timing back to 10* or sell the adjustor (smart).

If you plan on nitrous, the thing to do would be to send the chip off to JMS and have them keep the performance tune, and put 1 nitrous tune for a 100 shot and another for a 125... and sell that timing adjustor.

their is no factory chip, there is a spot on the ecu to install a chip (how nice of Ford - see they are performance oriented afterall So, yea when you go in for warranty work you can take the chip off, or really just leave it in because they don't have a way of knowing - they just plug into the diag port - they don't actually pull the ecu out for any reason.

I've heard about 2 mph with the 4.10's for highway driving... but mostly I think he just means JD is gonna be hitting it and hitting it hard every time he drives for the next week or so.

hey j daniel, if i want to get 410s and i dont have drag radials, will i still be able to shift very quickly or will my tires spin switching to 2nd and third... also if u step on the gas in 1st gear without droping at a certain RPM, just start and gas it, would it peel or can it hook... because im looking into 390s but if i can put in 410s and catch the ground that would be good..
