Look at the body lines and the door gaps. You can usualy tell if it's been hit hard. When you drive it, take it for a long drive also to see if any problems arrive.JMO

thanks for all the advice guys. I think that $7k would be a fair price for this stang, considering ice seen similar ones go for about 6.5k. we will see what he thinks though. keep the opinions coming.

Yeah, I agree, that price is a tad high. Try to talk him down about $1000-$1500 and then I think the price would be about right.

Little word of advice:

While it's not the case with every Mustang, a LARGE amount of Mustangs with aftermarket bumpers/hoods/etc have these parts because of an insurance check....

With that said, I'd inspect the car closely for any previous damage even with a cleanCarfax.

Yeah, I'd definitely get it checked out and have a vehicle history done. Make sure that it hasn't been wrecked and repaired.
