05-07 GTs range anywhere from 22-27k++ here used and retail. After buying a 99-04 GT that is actually blue or black booked in value (somewhere between 10-18k maybe lower) you could completely destroy an S197 with the difference in mod money. Hell any 99-04 Mustang possibly even a V6 could be bought, modded and smoke an S197 before spending as much money (plus not look like a 69 fastback that let itself go). But yes stock GTvs stock GTyou're a little out matched.

The 05 will eat it alive.
The 05 sticktraps at around 13.5 stock, the 04 auto, 14.5 if you're lucky.
No contest.
Auto gts dont run 14.5

I've seen many run that slow.
I've even seen them run evenslower,I just didn't want to say it to avoid guys like you starting arguments.
I have a friend who ran a 15, thats with a lot of bolt ons.
His 315 tires slowed him down I'm sure.
You must own one, it sounds like I hit a nerve.
I could care less, my 03 vert is close to running 11's, so what does it matter ?
Ive also seen many 5 spds run that slow also with bolt ons, so you should just say 14.5 if your lucky with a 5 spd too....andi dont care about ur 03 vert almost runing 11s.

Read this, might change your mind about the s197. I don't buy cars solely on looks, potential has something to do with my decision. The reason why I didn't buy a cobra was because of my buddy's 10 sec 05 GT. And the money angle, I used to use that argument around camaro guys.....Didn't help me win.
I'll have a whipple on this summer and 11 seconds aint a slouch no matter what it wieghs

Give me 3 tries in my auto 04 and I'll bet I can beat 14.5, and mine is ALL stock. Sunny day and NO wind gusts.
