do your really think???? cause they both have the same hp rating if not the cobra a little more?

hp is about equal, and the cobra may weigh a little less, but it has a whole lot more wear and tear approaching its 10th year in use...i believe the GT has better gearing too...either way i remember the cobras quarter being around 14 sec and the GT's being around 13.5...it be a good race

ya also depends on if the gt is stick or auto, and if both of the drivers could.....what do you call it...? drive

Hands down 05. Not really even close if they are both stick and the 05 is driven well. I had a 97 cobra... and can tell you, you rarely ever see one break 14.00 stock.. but you see S197s do it regularly. The torque band and power band on the SN cobra's was just a little odd.. not the best for a straight line especally with the factory gearing.

damn i jus bought a pretty stock 98 cobra to, haha o well just means ill have to get more mods , would putting a 4.10 gear in the cobra help a lot

gears help the 96-98 cobra alot. I think alot of people go with 4.30s,,, but 4.10s will def help

I would like to see this myself... it should be a fairly close race. I could see the 05 winning 6-7/10 runs tho.
