differance between "B" Cobra Heads And 03-04 Cobra heads
Title says it !!!! I have the chance to pick up a set of heads for 200 bucks off a 96 cobra , and I was planning on doing the DOHC swap down the road . Can you still bolt up the factory supercharger from the 03-04 cobra?? Will it matter that Iam using a 03-04 harness??
Heads would get pulled apart and P&P. New cams/valves for the new bottom end
Thanks

Is there a differance in overall performance, with full port job/valves/cams??
Will they bolt up with out problems(IE, no drilling diffrent passages/ not changing any thing ) to a 03 cobra block, our would I have to buy the block from the same year as the heads??

You wont have the change the block at all, you can put 4V heads on any SOHC V8 mod motor out there that Ford has. I think you will have to get a Cobra crank which I believe is double keyed.
The Cobra heads are so much better than the B-heads and are the only heads (Along with Mach1 heads which are the same) that have a right and left casting (Up to 2004 that I know of.) These heads outflow the FR500 heads on the exhaust side and prove to be the most badass production heads out there.
I will have to break out my SHM book and give you the flow specs on these massive heads and compair them to the older heads. It might take me a day or so to find my SHM book though, so gimme some time
Save you money for the 03/04Cobra or Mach1 heads.

the flow of stock B heads compared to the C heads isn't too much, once you P&P them there will probably be a little bit bigger of a difference but overall they are relatively the same in power
