do all cobra's wheelhop?
so far from what i have seen just about all the svt forums most cobra's have wheel hop in stead of just sping cause i know in my cobra if i hit the gas in the rain it doesnt spin it just ****in wheelhops like a bitch....it sucks cause in my gt it was fun spinning in the rain now i have all this power in a cobra and i cant even spin....

just FYI, but if your wheelhopping all over your begging to snap a half shaft.
And no, not all cobras wheel hop. there is a local guy with just a few parts swapped out in his IRS and the thing is going 1.7xs on easy launches, and on the street it doesn't seem to wheelhop either.
I cannot tell you exactly what you need but I am sure there are more than a few performance shops that can set you up correctly. However, in the rain a IRS equipped 380+ whp cobra is prolly gonna wheelhop no matter what.
Simple soluition... don't drive in the rain

It's not a Termie. And I usually just spin like like crazy. Leave the TC on when it's wet and please stay outta the ditch.

99-01 cobra's wheelhops are much worse than the termies.. guys that I know with IRS's tell me that simply using delrin bushings can reduce wheelhop quite a bit.. however I have not done much research into IRS's

There's a lot you can do to reduce wheelhop, and a VERY lucky (and financially advantaged) few have eliminated it. The bottom line is IRS Cobra's have a steep learning curve to launch efficiently. Thay aren't like GTs where you can just sidestep the clutch and floor it. It takes a lot more skill and feel. Practice. You'll get it....

in stock form ywss they all do wheel hop BAD (aka the IRS cobras) you can fix this with ease with a IRS brace or this New sweet *** Diff Cover, and Diff. Bushings, that will cure 90% of the wheel hop

Yea, looks like he has an 01 cobra to me too.
I came from driving an 04 gt to now an 04 cobra. And it is quite a different monster than the gt's. I have bad wheelhop in mine right now. The only thing I have is a BF irs brace. It doesnt help the wheelhop, just prevents the diff. case from blowing open. Also, the more power you have, the more wheelhop your gonna get.
I would start off with the bf irs brace first, and then try some subframe connectors and see how that goes. That link that BAD FN GT posted is a great link and should be your guildlines as how to elimate your wheelhop.
