Default LM1 Fitment

I just picked up a set of SLP LM1s last night from my buddies house, 80 for the both (about 2 months of use). I heard that they wont just weld straight into my stock catback and that there will need to be some custom fab done. How much do you think a shop will charge to have this done?
Also, they are dumped right now, I don't want them dumped, plus the welds are there already. Will they be able to saw the dumps off and still make nice, new, neat welds? Thanks

A shop charges about $100-$200 to do that kinda fab work and add the tailpipes.

An exhaust shop is a great place to make friends with the owner. There is a Menike (cant spell) right around the corner from me that an older lady owns. I go up there for all of my cars when I need something done and chit chat with her. She gives me huge discounts and wont charge me tax now. When I install a new exhaust system on a car I bring it up there and have it put on a lift to tighten and make sure it is all straight for free. LOL she even let me come up there to put it on the lift so I could adjust my coilovers.

Moral of the story is make friends with shop owners and you can get alot more done for cheap.

Clamp the mufflers in. Dont weld them. But they should be able to fab up some pipes for you.

LM1 are made to cust clamp on. An exhaust shop can fix them up and clamp them into place.

You're going to have to do some custom fabbing because of the offset/offset design of the original mufflers, and since the LM1 are straight.. Any comptent shop will be able to do it and make it fit nicely under there.. how much, couldn't tell you..

I doubt a shop is going to charge you a lot for it, just go make friends with some guy at a small muffler shop... you'll get it for cheap [8D]
