Default Tips for building 4.6 engines

I just thought this might be a good idea. I just spent about a week doing reserch on building my motor. I figure with a thread like this someone that wants to build might not have to spend all that time looking for things and trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. For example: On a 2v with a set of 46 cc patriot heads it takes a -15 cc dish piston to make 9.5 compression and a -18 cc to make 9.0. On a cobra with a set of stock 53 cc heads it makes 8.5 compression with a -18 cc piston. A good place to buy parts is www.vtengines.com.

Default RE: Tips for building 4.6 engines

On my motor I have stock heads (for now) which is 43.9 cc and 18cc pistons which is 8.8:1. Different brands of pistons with the same cc will give different ratios.
