Help me! Which year of Cobra is going to give me the most power, and have the most mod-ability

03 Cobra is going to be the most expensive but by far the easiest to mod for the smallest amount of money

well an '03 is a helluva lotta power right off the bat, but modulardepot.com can port the supercharger and get you a little more and it still passes under warranty. supposedly 30-42rwhp gains on six different '03s. only 475 [sm=smiley4.gif]

No comparison. The 03/04 cobra will blow the doors off an earlier cobra. Take a stock 03/04 cobra drop 2-3k in mods and you will be pushing 450-480 rwhp easy. Cheap to mod and unbelieveable power, price for performance you can't beat a 03/04 cobra

Eh, that all depends on how cheap you can find an '03 Cobra for. I believe you'll pay at least $22k or so for a used one with a couple decades on the ticker, which isn't bad, but you can pick up a '96-'98 Cobra which come stock with 305 factory rated HP for about $10k around here, and with the money you save ($10k plus) you can easily bolt on a huffer as well as a complete exhaust, air intake, cams, burned chip and every other bolt-on under the sun and blow the doors off '03 Cobras all day long. What would be really cool about it is you'd have a great sleeper.

*EDIT* Another option, use the money you save and twin turbo a '96-'98 Cobra and get around 800 rwhp, and scream away from anything else on the road.

Yuor asking about 96-04 cobras? That is VERY broad.

I have a '93 Cobra, but wanted a new Cobra. I drove my co-workers '95, a '97, a '01 and finally the '03. There is no question which I ended up buying. Like the guys before me have said, you can not beat the '03. Mine was a Ford certified '03 w/6k miles.

Get an 03. I wish i was able to decide whether to get a 90s Cobra or a 03 cobra. I had to get a GT. I wouldve love to get an 03.
